IT: Airport operations management
AirLink is a central information system for airports that provides the most accurate information to all stakeholders at and around the airport. It is a central system used in the day-to-day airport operations.
AirLink is based on the principle of Collaborative Decision Making (CDM), introduced by Eurocontrol, which makes it possible to share more, real time information between different users at the airport to optimise efficiency.
Apart from the CDM modules, AirLink features numerous functionalities such as flight management and information sharing with stakeholders, teletext, terminal monitors and internet. The system can be used for financial management or can be linked to your accounting software. AirLink can also be used for support services like an agenda, to issue daily reports and to support technical services like airport facility maintenance.
When using AirLink, the employees at your airport will be employing a uniform method for sharing the same, real time information. This will result in very efficient processes at your airport.
AirLink is developed in collaboration with regional airports and will become operational at different airports throughout 2011. It is a modular system, which means that if you acquire the basic system that shares flight information, you can add the modules you need. The system is being developed specifically for regional airports. The system therefore requires less investment than a system designed for large airports.
